Soot il Sharq
Soot Il Sharq is a special musical ensemble created by Shahrzad and a group of talented Cairo-based musicians. The goal of the group is to re-create a traditional Takht Sharqi (small acoustic ensemble) and play a variety of classical and folk music from Egypt.

This album features a collection of intricate songs celebrating the golden age of Egyptian arts including compositions made for and by musical icons such as Mohamed Qasabgi, Warda, and Om Kalthoum as well as original pieces featuring each of our musicians.
